🎶 Welcome to Violaville – a virtual music lounge. 🎶
Home to the songs, lyrics and recordings I’ve performed under the stage name Viola VV Fox.
When I was 11 my parents bought me a keyboard (and quickly regretted it). In the noisy years which followed, I wrote and arranged my own songs – plucking up just enough courage to play them for my (very patient) friends.
As hard as it is to believe, I was shy and embarrassed about my hobby…until spring 2025 when I attended Laura Marling‘s song writing workshops with the School of Song . I met some amazingly talented artists and began to embrace my plinky plonky whimsical style. Through this community, I found the confidence to perform my songs live … and start recording.
Viola VV Fox plays at open mic nights across Manchester UK, including the Art of Tea (Didsbury), 99 Reasons (Chorlton) and Nook (Heaton Moor).
