๐ The Blog
Roll up, roll up, read all about it. Short, entertaining posts about every stage of the life crisis. From embarrassing incidents and adulthood mishaps to tales of woe and what happens when life doesn’t go to plan. And trying to laugh about it. While crying.

Chapter 1 – The Quarter Life Crisis
Once upon a time, in my early…to mid…to late 20s, life served up embarrassing moments, career chaos and rocky relationships. It was a daily reminder that I had no clue where I was going with my life. I have since learned this is the joy of being human. I give no thanks to the perfection we torture ourselves with on social media. Unlike my friends, who got sensible jobs and bought houses, I bought a domain name (The Life Crisis). I began documenting my horrifying journey through adulthood via short blog posts – like some sort of modern-day jester.
Chapter 2 – The Ongoing Crisis
Somewhere in the middle, I found myself the proud owner of a rescue greyhound. I got married (to a husband, not a greyhound). There was a global pandemic. Unlike my grandparents, who survived a world war, I stayed indoors in my pyjamas all day watching Netflix. Who knew hosting online pub quizzes and baking banana bread counted as ‘saving the world?’. Ready to face the next phase of my life, I was kindly equipped with wise words from my mother. “Life in its entirety is a crisis.” Hopeful words indeed. Where would I go from here?
Chapter 3 – The Cabaret Crisis
Now for the fun bit. Much like housework, there is no ending to this story. It goes on and on and on, forever and ever and ever. Around every corner are villainous plot twists and curious climaxes. So, I enlisted the help of Viola VV Fox (an alter ego). Yes I’ve reached that stage in life where I have an alter ego … and an air fryer. She helps me make sense of the world, and my place within it – through creativity. My life’s tales are no longer constrained to short blog posts. They play out in songs, art, dancing and plinky plonky piano. Et Voila! The Life Crisis has become a virtual speakeasy for all to enjoy and escape to.
Welcome to the show ๐ญ
